today is CKO's last day..
yes the hottest gossip for the day. CKO and other depts got our 24 hours notice.
to all the (ex)CKO-ians it's great to have to meet you guys and i love working with you.
to all of us - ALL THE BEST!!

8.45pm - Presentation of IMU Reorganisation.
so everybody thought, they'll just announce that those who are permanent staff will be absorbed into e-resources. and those on contract would probably not be renewed.

but after we got into the meeting room. meiling started with a very strange announcement - compensation. so i trully thought that she was just announcing that there will be some staff being given notices to leave like Major Noor. so all of us were just relax only, and also we heard 3+1 = 3 months of salary compensation with additional 1 month - cool.

but suddenly najjah raised her hand, " excuse me, are you saying we're losing our job?"

solemly "yes" meiling said.

shocked. i was really shocked. because i didn't realise everyone present in the board room was going to be retrenched. so thus begin our debate and war in the room.

then after that everyone started packing and backing up their files, passed everything and doing the clearance form. we were asked to leave by 12. but however, the cheques were not ready till 3pm. so we had to wait. this is absurd, you want us to leave but you're asking us to wait till 3? so we had our last 'yamseng' beramai-ramai at food avenue and guess what time we got our cheques? 5pm. then it was adios sayonara byebye IMU!

so the ones got retrenched includes, cko main office, vmu, IDO, Family medicine- research and some depts in seremban. so the only person left of cko is the cko himself.. ahahahahaha......a total of 30 head counts. and we heard more will go after the new organisation structure is announced. oh ho ho ho..... oh well, let's all have a long holiday yeah!
